Modal bottom sheets present secondary tasks anchored to the bottom of the screen with a backdrop scrim. They can be dismissed by clicking the scrim, dragging downward on the handle, or pressing Escape.
When content exceeds the maximum height (viewport height minus top margin), the body area becomes smoothly scrollable.
Standard bottom sheets are coplanar with the page without a scrim. Users can continue interacting with the page behind it.
